Candidates may appeal a decision if they can base it on information that was not originally taken into account. Only appeals from candidates who submitted a formal application will be considered. A written appeal, together with all relevant documentation, must be sent directly to the Overseas Applicants Unit. The Admissions Committee is the final arbiter, and its decisions are not reversible.
The university reserves a few places in each department for eligible applicants that have grades a bit lower than the requirements.
Eligibility is checked through the Society for the Advancement of Education that gives points for criteria connected with personal background relevant to high school studies (e.g. place of residence, high school, parents' education, number of siblings, special personal or family issues etc.) Applicants, below the age of 30, that received at least 30 points from the Society, will be considered according to the number of places in the department and the relative achievements of all applicants eligible for affirmative action. Letters of eligibility must be submitted before the application deadline. Additional details on the website of the Society or by telephone: 02-6441159 or on the website: www.kidum-edu.org.il.
